How to choose the right size of leggings?
Summary: The right leggings size is the foundation of a comfortable workout. In this guide, you'll learn how to measure yourself accurately and use our size chart to find leggings that fit like a second skin.
Why Does the Right Size Matter?
Too-large leggings slip down during your workout. Too-small ones pull and restrict movement. You don't want to deal with either mid-set.
The right size gives you:
- Full freedom of movement during squats, lunges, and deadlifts
- A stable waistband that stays in place
- Compression where you need it
- Confidence that everything fits right
How to Measure Yourself Correctly
To find your perfect size, you need to take 4 measurements. Use a soft measuring tape and measure in underwear or tight-fitting clothing.
1. Upper Waist
Measure the circumference at the narrowest part of your torso – usually 2-3 cm above your belly button. Keep the tape horizontal and don't suck in your stomach.
2. Low Waist
Measure the circumference where the leggings will sit – approximately at hip level, just below the belly button.
3. Hips
Measure the widest part of your glutes. Stand with your feet together and turn sideways to a mirror to find the right position.
4. Length
Measure from the low waist to the ankle along the outside of your leg. This measurement tells you if the leggings will reach your ankles or be shorter.

FYTCREW Leggings Size Chart
All measurements are in centimeters and represent half circumference – so if your hip circumference is 68 cm, look for 34 cm in the chart.
| Size | Upper Waist | Low Waist | Hips | Length |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 22 cm | 28 cm | 32 cm | 84 cm |
| M | 24 cm | 30 cm | 34 cm | 86 cm |
| L | 26 cm | 32 cm | 36 cm | 88 cm |
| XL | 28 cm | 34 cm | 38 cm | 90 cm |

What If I'm Between Sizes?
If your measurements fall between two sizes, follow these rules:
- For a tighter fit: Choose the smaller size. Our leggings are stretchy and will conform to your body.
- For a more comfortable fit: Choose the larger size if you prefer a looser feel or wear them outside the gym too.
- Deciding factor: When in doubt, go by your hip measurement – it's the most important measurement for proper fit.
Size Tips by Workout Type
Strength Training (squats, deadlifts)
Choose your exact size or one size smaller. You need firm compression and a stable waistband that won't slip even during your heaviest sets.
Cardio and HIIT
Your exact size is ideal. Leggings need to stay put while allowing quick movements and jumps.
Yoga and Stretching
If you prefer more freedom of movement, you can go one size up. You'll appreciate less compression during yoga.
Material and Stretch
All FYTCREW leggings contain 90% nylon and 10% spandex. This combination guarantees:
- 4-way stretch elasticity
- Return to original shape after workout
- Long-lasting durability without bagging
New leggings will slightly conform to your body shape after a few wears – this is normal and expected.
